Working alongside Gerard Taylor architects, into was to develop a lighting solution which drew parallels with the style of gallery lighting. This was to enhance the product in the large spaces and utilise the best light sources of the time.

The lighting design is flexible and based around track and spotlights with adjustable gimbal fittings and metal-halide sources. into designed a range of bespoke feature lighting for Habitat to showcase the products and to provide ambient lighting.

The lighting scheme eschews a gallery style of clean white light from high-quality sources. Bespoke fittings created by into provide a level of accuracy to the lighting of each space. Combined with the flexible system it successfully showcases the products and is an example of a lighting concept which reflects on the brand’s creativity and style. The scheme was replicated across other European flagship stores.
