Brief
into were appointed by Roka as the implementation lighting consultants to Japanese interior designers Studio Glitt. The concept involved low-glare and concealed lighting and various lighting treatments to be used throughout the minimalist and sophisticated interior.
Concept
The central open kitchen and bar area island in the restaurant are the main focus for lighting, which needed to work to create a dramatic focal points. Minimal black halogen spotlights in the ceiling focus onto key surfaces. Around the perimeter of the space bespoke feature floor lights provide lighting at a lower level and create a moody and warm environment.
Result
The lighting concept embodies the vision of Studio Glitt for a space that has clear focal points and provides drama as well as ambience for high-end dining. Into are currently working on further projects for Rainer Becker’s Roka Group. Photography Credit: Richard Southall
