Lighting Designer – Rollout Projects

(Part London Office-Based, Part Hybrid Weekly Working Days)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Lighting Designer to join our team, focusing on designing and implementing lighting solutions for various rollout projects across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on retail and hospitality. This role involves working closely with end clients, project managers, architects, and interior designers to deliver lighting designs that align with their vision and expectations.

You will collaborate with established retailers and hospitality clients who are actively expanding and refurbishing their portfolios of sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site visits as needed to survey and assess lighting requirements.
Design and develop lighting proposals tailored to specific site locations while ensuring brand consistency.
Collaborate with architects and interior designers to integrate lighting solutions seamlessly into overall designs.
Produce detailed lighting layouts, lux calculations, cost plans, switching drawings, schedules, specifications, and light calculations.
Attend sites for handovers, angling, and scene-setting of lighting schemes.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adapting to the unique needs of each location.
Stay informed about the latest lighting technologies, trends, and regulatory standards.
While most projects will be UK-based, occasional international travel may be required for clients expanding overseas.

Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in lighting design within the retail and/or hospitality sectors.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD LT, lighting-specific tools (e.g., DIALux Evo), and Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of lighting standards and best practices.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Ability to manage projects independently from inception to completion while also thriving as part of a team.
Exceptional written and spoken English is essential.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (UK resident/work permit/visa required).

What We Offer:
We are offering a competitive salary of £30,000 to £32,000 dependent on your experience.
